Julie's Johan, born June 21st, 1968. Every great monument needs a solid foundation, Johan was it. She was the rock. She could handle any job given to her. Whether it was handling crowd control at the fairgrounds or just being there for the little ones. She always stepped up to the plate. She taught numerous kids about horsemanship and even won a ribbon in a speed class at the age of 28. Johan left us on September 3, 1999. She was loved and will be missed.
The Yankee Clipper, aka Joseph. Joseph was born April 4th, 1975. Always the gentleman, Joseph always seemed to ask for permission first. But also the guardian, as he once crushed the skull of an intruding stray dog. On top of it all, Joseph had great looks. Photos didn't do him justice. It was as if DiMaggio had been reincarnated. Joseph left us on October 29th, 2004. He was loved and will be missed.
The Grand Daughter
Valentine's Rose. Val was born on February 14th, 1978. The ultimate cowgirl, Val could cut barrels better than everyone she went up against. She won 1st place ribbons every time she stepped in the ring. Like the little engine that could, "can't" was not a part of her vocabulary. Maybe that is why she was known by some as "The Bitch". Val demanded respect. She wouldn't be controlled by anyone. But if asked, she gave every ounce of her heart. Val left us on October 29th, 2004. She was loved and will be missed.
